Frequently Asked Questions
A cron expression is a string of 5 fields that defines a schedule for automated tasks on servers. Fields are: minute, hour, day of month, month, and day of week. An asterisk (*) means "every".
The slash means "every N". So */15 in the minute field means "every 15 minutes". */2 in the hour field means "every 2 hours".
A dash means a range. 1-5 in the weekday field means Monday through Friday. 8-18 in the hour field means from 8 AM to 6 PM.
